Just after 19:00 on the 23th of January a tragic accident happened in Sieradz, Poland. A 84-year-old man was hit by a brown Audi R8 V10 Spyder when he tried to cross the road. It is unknown what speed the German sports car was doing, but after hitting the elderly man the driver lost control and drove into a ditch.
This is unfortunately not the end of the incident. The elderly man fell onto the road, was hit again by oncoming traffic and died at the scene. A 24-year-old driver in an Audi A4 was unable to divert.
Both drivers were sober. The 39-year-old driver of the R8 and its passenger were rushed to hospital.
